Das Lovely Days Festival am kommenden Samstag ist ein Tête-à-tête der Vintage-Rocker. Aber wie man beim Wein ja weiß – er wird besser mit dem Alter. Einen Tag lang wird das Festivalgelände in Wiesen in Woodstock verwandelt.
Neben der Manfred Mann's Earthband, Uriah Heep, Canned Heat sowie der Spencer Davis Group sind vor allem die Auftritte der Legenden von The Doors und Toto mit Spannung zu erwarten.
Nun ist es aber so, dass die "alten" Doors nicht komplett sind, sondern nur noch aus dem Original Gitarristen Rob Krieger und Keyboarder Ray Manzarek bestehen – den Teil des legendären Jim Morrisson übernimmt der Ex-Frontmann von The Cult Ian Astbury und die Drums werden von Stewart Copeland von The Police malträtiert. Es wird also auf alle Fälle ein spannender Auftritt.
Ebenfalls ein außerordentliches Konzert wird Toto abliefern, die sich nur für ein paar wenige Auftritte wieder vereint haben. Die Reunion-Tour hat ernste Hintergründe, denn der ehemalige Bassist Mike Porcaro ist schwer krank und daher wird das eingespielte Geld an ihn und seine Familie weitergegeben. Also schon fast eine Charity-Reunion.
Lässt sich also nur auf ein wenig Woodstock-Feeling in Wiesen hoffen!
